I am a BACP accredited and registered psychotherapist and counsellor (www.bacp.co.uk). In addition to my own therapy practice I have worked as a therapist for Kent Community Health NHS Trust Psychological Services, providing individual therapy, online support and anger management groups for young offenders. I also previously worked as a counsellor at Folkestone MIND. I spent two years working as a volunteer therapist counselling teenage girls in a London secondary school, and as a volunteer counsellor at the City Literary Institute in London.
I trained at Spectrum, the largest humanistic therapy centre in the country (www.spectrumtherapy.co.uk). Spectrum’s highly experiential training draws particularly on Gestalt and Formative Psychology theories. I continue to participate in on-going personal and professional development at Spectrum and elsewhere. I abide by both Spectrum and the BACP’s codes of ethics.
My background is in the arts. Originally a landscape architect, I designed school and community sensory gardens before developing my own garden design business. I also worked as a theatre designer and art director for a number of years. I am a partner, a mother and a stepmother.
